About the Event

Managing Karma

“Karma” (literally: “action”) is an age-old concept. It is expressed in the West as: “As you sow, so shall you reap.” The basic idea is that our actions create vibrations in the universe. Life-supporting actions bring good fortune while actions that hurt ourselves or others bring unhappy consequences. But the laws of karma function in a much more complicated fashion than is generally thought. Having engaged in life-damaging action, it is often assumed that we have to pay our “debt” by suffering. But there are ways to shorten the period of suffering and ease the severity of suffering, including special procedures done on our behalf and good deeds that we undertake that address the wrong we did previously.

In our webinar, we’ll examine many aspects of the laws of karma. We will draw on ideas expressed in the Mahabharata and the portion of that work called the Bhagavad-Gita, and we’ll find lessons on karma in the Biblical Book of Job. Additionally, we’ll explore the karma of life-lessons and tests of faith on our path toward enlightenment.

In the Group Clearing® session, we will look into the nature of some affliction we endure to find the karmic source of that suffering. Having located it, or at least having some sense of the nature of our misdeeds, we’ll offer contrition and apologize for the harm we have caused. We may ask how we may rectify the situation and, if our contrition is sincere, we may also appeal for forgiveness. We will conclude by offering gratitude for the opportunity to set thing right.
