About the Event

“The Memory Paradox”

We rely on our memories to make sense of our world, to understand who we are and to anticipate what will happen to us based on choices we make or circumstances in which we find ourselves. Our memories appear in the form of thoughts we have and bodily sensations we experience. But we often substitute thoughts for bodily sensations and thus make it difficult to deal with unpleasant and stressful experiences. Our thoughts become stories that we tell ourselves, stories that often aren’t accurate or at best incomplete descriptions of our life experience. Memories are therefore a paradox: we need them to navigate in the world and to shape our self-image, but they are unreliable and therefore untrustworthy. If our memories are not to be trusted, what are we to do?

In our webinar, we’ll examine how memories form and how they can be useful. We’ll also look at how memories can deceive us and produce stories that keep us from realizing our creative potential.

In the Group Clearing® session, each participant will discover that they don’t have to suffer from negative memories about themselves and their circumstances. We’ll explore ways that we can free ourselves from our memories and live in peace and freedom.
